These are the images I shall consider when making the photo strip on my contents. These images are all from different festivals, V festival, Wireless, Isle of Wight, Bestival and Milton Keynes. From having a variety it will show that the magazine will not just focus on one festival, but a differentiation. The photo strip will go across the page and will act as a main focus. 

Editing images

This is the original image, i feel that this portrays the festival vibe because of the pink lighting. Although she is not using mode of address, it is clear she is taking the camera, so her arm drags the eye of the reader towards her. The facial expressions show they are having a great time which is something I wanted to convey through this magazine. The shadows are slightly covering the girl on the left so to solve this problem I blurred the edges. 

By blurring the edges it made the centre girl the main focus. It also enabled me to decrease the shadowing. I also used the 'warmer' effect to make it feel happier, I also found that this highlighted the main girl. The main image resulted as below...

Planning

I have changed my idea of my double page spread. I have decided to completely remove the idea of 'Sunset Festival' and decided to report on V Festival. I have chosen this, as this is a very popular festival among the people that would be a part of my target audience, so they will have a guaranteed interest.

For my double page spread I will comment on the highlights of V Festival and include an 'exclusive' interview with David Guetta. This is someone who has a great influence on young adults, and was said to be the best performing act of V 2012.

Planning- artist profile

The purpose of my double page spread is to enthuse the audience to go to the festival, which is being advertised. The context of the article will relate to the readers and shall give a positive representation and be persuasive to encourage people to attend Sunset Festival.

Sunset Festival is a weekend concert in Ibiza, which is a pun as it relates to the name of the festival. It has been running for 6 years now, so is an established and well-known festival.  The double page spread will focus on a regular attendant of the festival go-er, and her experience, festival fashion as well as her guideline for survival. It will also contain the future line-up for the upcoming event of 2013.
